In the final weeks of our Buddies programme, some of the

children and older people wrote stories together. They created
characters from scratch and took them on adventures to faraway

lands. The literal spaces we have occupied these last few months

have been small, but the imaginative spaces that our children

and older people have devised within these pages are vast.

We hope that you enjoy reading the stories and learning a little

more about some of the calls that our Buddies have shared.

Perhaps in many years to come, when our younger buddies reach

older age, they will, in turn, share this book with the children in

their lives, and remember the friendships they made at this time.
